About us

The bank has started its Banking business as Mahabhairab Cooperative Bank in the year 1907 and after that it was stated as The Mahabhairab Cooperative Urban Bank Ltd. registered under Assam Cooperative Societies Act. 1949(Act I of 1950) on 10th of December 1907 and carrying out Banking business within its area of operation successfully and on the basis of its performance, the RBI had granted licence to carry on Banking business under NO. UBD ASSAM 0005P on the 30th December 2009. The Bank had celebrated its century on 23.12.2006. The area of operation of the Bank restritced within Tezpur.
